Sheryl Rosin, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

President & Owner

Dr. Rosin is a certified speech-language pathologist specializing in diagnostics and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders. She received both her master's and doctoral degrees at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She is certified as a speech therapist by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed to practice in Florida. She is also a Certified Autism Specialist by the International Board of Continuing Education and Credentialing Standards, a certified and licensed Play Project Provider, and is a member of the Florida Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Autism Society of America, and Autism Society of Florida.

Dr. Rosin has been a practicing speech therapist since 1996. She was formerly employed with William Beaumont Hospital in the Department of Childhood Speech and Language Disorders, Royal Oak, MI., for over ten years, where she treated children with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders. Dr. Rosin developed and implemented the Pediatric Autism Learning System for Pragmatic and Language Stimulation (P.A.L.S for P.A.L.S.) group treatment program at the hospital and coordinated and facilitated treatment in this program.

Dr. Rosin taught as an adjunct professor at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from 2008-2009, teaching courses related to Normal Language Acquisition and Childhood Language Disorders. Dr. Rosin relocated to Florida in 2009, where she became a full-time professor at Nova Southeastern University, teaching courses in the undergraduate, master, and doctoral programs. In 2014, Dr. Rosin began an international program with the University of Medicine and Health Sciences-St. Kitts conducting research related to evidence-based practices for children on the autism spectrum in underserved, under-resourced, low-income regions. She is currently working on a project she developed, "The Caribbean Autism Project," with the Ministry of Education in St. Kitts and Nevis, bringing awareness, resources, and intervention to these Islands. She has trained over 75 parents, teachers, and professionals working and living there.

Dr. Rosin has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to evidence-based practices in assessment and intervention for individuals with ASD.

Dr. Rosin is currently the owner and director of Palm Beach Speech-Language Specialists, an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University, a Professional Education Instructor with Summit Professional Education providing workshops around the country related to AAC and play-based interventions for individuals with ASD, a PLAY Project Consultant and Supervisor, project developer and implementer of "The Caribbean Autism Project" for the government of St. Kitts and Nevis, and the chair of the Telehealth Committee for the Florida Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
